The West Central Texas Regional Foundation is a private non-profit charitable organization organized under Section 501(c)(3). WCTRF provides programs and services to improve the health, education, safety, housing, environment and general welfare of area citizens. Our service area primarily targets the communities in Brown, Callahan, Coleman, Comanche, Eastland, Fisher, Haskell, Jones, Kent, Knox, Mitchell, Nolan, Runnels, Scurry, Shackelford, Stephens, Stonewall, Taylor, and Throckmorton counties.
In partnership with the ADRC (Aging and Disability Resource Center) for West Central Texas, an initiative of the West Central Texas Council of Governments, the WCTRF was awarded a Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) grant in 2012 by the U. S. Department of Veterans Affairs most of the counties served. Another grant was awarded for the balance of the counties and both grants continue to be renewed.
The Texas Council for Developmental Disabilities funded a project to more fully include persons with disabilities in faith-based communities in Callahan, Jones and Taylor Counties.
Staff will be working closely with the U.S. Department on Veterans Affairs, Texas Commission on Developmental Disabilities, Area Agency on Aging of West Central Texas, Texas Veterans Commission, 211 and area faith based and community based entities, along with other local, regional, state and federal agencies.
