Bioterrorism Preparedness:
The Texas Department of State
Health Services (DSHS) Bioterrorism Preparedness Project was
initiated in 2002 for the purpose of bioterrorism
training and risk assessment. Through its contract
with DSHS, WCTCOG has worked to gather information on
resources and activities relative to Bioterrorism
Preparedness within the region. The project is
expected to continue on and will expand to encompass
responsibilities associated with staffing local
Strategic National Stockpile sites (SNS). |
